Project Details > Phased Repair Project


The repair of the Sycamore Ranchito Landslide is broken up into the following seven phases to facilitate more rapid implementation of the work:

Phase I:

Arrest Upslope Expansion of the incipient and Active Rock Toppling and Land Sliding with Reinforced Shotcrete Walls and Tieback Anchors;

Phase II:

Re-establish and Protect Upper Roads (Canon View Road and Sycamore Vista Road) from Active Toppling and Land Sliding with Shotcrete Wall and Reinforced Shear Pins, Tie Beam and Tieback Anchors;

Phase III: Arrest Incipient Land Sliding with Shear Pin Arrays between Sycamore Canyon Road and Sycamore Vista Road;

Phase IV Protect Lower Roads (Sycamore Canyon Road and Ranchito Vista Road) from Active Land Sliding with Reinforced Concrete Soldier Pile Retaining Wall and Tieback Anchors;

Phase V: Arrest Active Land Sliding with Reinforced Earth Toe Buttress;

Phase VI: Arrest Active Land Sliding with Shear Pin Arrays between Phase IV Concrete Soldier Pile Retaining Wall and Phase II Shotcrete Wall; and,

Phase VII: Install Sewers and Landscaping and Repave Roads.
